1st race booked!
I have been finding it difficult to train as frequently and as hard as I should be but yesterday night was a deal changer! I gave into the pressure (that I was putting on myself) and I got a Ontario Association of Triathletes Membership. Once payment went through I then proceeded with the registration and payment for my first Half Ironman at Muskoka on September 11, 2011! I am extremely excited and haven't stopped thinking about it! So hard training and enduring lots of pain here I come!
Other issue is that I still have to sign up for some Olympic and Sprint Distance Triathlons before then. Also some 10km runs!

Aqua Sphere Kaiman Goggle Review
So I decided to buy new goggles yesterday because the ones I brought back from Australia have tinted/mirrored lenses (which did well for me being at an outdoor pool and training in warm weather all year round). Now that I am training in what I call "Cold Canada" swim training is done indoors for the most part of the year, resulting in artificial light, which doesn't really suit goggles with a dark tint/mirror to them. But any who, enough about the past, I will now get to the good bits!
These goggles are incredible! Enough said? I took them straight out of the box, put them over my face, jumped in the water and began to swim! Not once did they even remotely begin to fog up. I did not take them off for the whole 1.5km that I swam in roughly 45min! I must say that I have never encountered non-fogging goggles, especially right out of the packaging! Along with anti-fog features, the goggles also come with scratch resistant lenses and a 180 degree view which makes things much clearer in your field of view. Almost comparable between reading glasses with and without frames!
I also had no bruising around my eye sockets because these goggles are a little wider then regular goggles, which is an added bonus!
All in all, $38 well spent! I am overly happy with the purchase!

Just picked up new Aqua Sphere Kayenne Premium Goggles from RunningFree in Newmarket, ON!

Swimming!
I have purchased a pass to the local indoor pool! Time to start swim training! This will happen tomorrow! Lets see how long I last tomorrow!

Week 2 Training
So I am in week two! Did my small run yesterday, and today went to the gym and focused on arms/back/chest then followed by a 10km bike on the indoor trainer! Feeling great! Going to the Pool tomorrow to get a membership! :-D
